By role pattern (median TC, USD base). Forward Deployed Engineer: $267K. Applied AI Engineer: $237K. Solutions Engineer: $213K. Implementation Engineer: $204K. Consultant (project basis, USD-equivalent): $245K.
By experience band. 2–4 years: $195K. 5–7 years: $268K. 8+ years: $324K. The premium for senior implementers is higher than for most engineering roles — the supply-demand gap is real and skewed senior.
By region. SF Bay Area: median $295K. NYC: $278K. Boston: $252K. Austin: $228K. Denver: $215K. Remote-US: $238K. London: $148K (£113K). Singapore: SGD 224K.
Pay-transparency reality check. 14 US states now require posted ranges, but enforcement is uneven. New York and California are tight (we see ranges on ~95% of postings); Texas and Florida are loose (~40%). EU directive lands later this year and will pull non-transparent EU postings into compliance.
