Cookie policy
Which cookies and similar technologies FDEOS uses, why, and how to control them — compliant with PECR and UK GDPR.

01What cookies we use
We use three categories: (1) strictly necessary — required for the site to function and lawful without consent under PECR reg 6(4); (2) analytics — set only after you opt in via the cookie banner; (3) third-party — set by Stripe during checkout. We do not set advertising, retargeting or fingerprinting cookies.
02Strictly necessary
__session (Clerk authentication, session cookie). __clerk_db_jwt (Clerk DB JWT). fdeos:cookie-consent (records your banner choice). Without these you cannot sign in or use the platform.
03Analytics (opt-in)
ph_<projectId>_posthog (PostHog product analytics, EU region, 12-month lifetime). Fires only after you click "Accept analytics". You can opt out at any time via /cookies.
04Stripe (when you check out)
Stripe sets cookies scoped to stripe.com for fraud detection and 3-D Secure during a checkout session. We do not control these; they are covered by Stripe's own policy at stripe.com/cookies.
05How to change your mind
Visit /cookies to update your preferences. To reset entirely, delete the fdeos:cookie-consent key from your browser storage and refresh — the banner will reappear and you can re-decide.
06Browser controls
All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so for strictly-necessary cookies will break authentication. We honour the "Global Privacy Control" signal where the browser sends it.
