Acceptable use policy

What you may and may not do on FDEOS. Breach can result in suspension, termination, and recovery of costs.

Last updated 26 May 2026 · All policies

01Prohibited content and conduct

You must not upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, infringes a third party's intellectual property, contains malware, or is designed to deceive (including fake credentials, fabricated ex-employer badges, or AI-generated profiles passed off as real people).

02No scraping or bulk extraction

You must not crawl, scrape, harvest, index or otherwise systematically extract data from the directory, the public API or any other FDEOS surface beyond fair individual use. Our Public API has documented rate limits; sustained use beyond those limits is a breach. Building a competing dataset using FDEOS data is expressly prohibited.

03No impersonation

Claiming a profile that is not yours, misrepresenting professional history, fabricating verifications, or impersonating an FDEOS employee or partner are grounds for immediate termination and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

04Job postings must be genuine

Featured listings, manual jobs and Talent Search outreach must relate to real roles your organisation is authorised to fill. Pay-to-post does not waive this requirement; fraudulent posts will be removed, fees forfeited, and the account closed.

05No off-platform circumvention for fee-bearing flows

Where a Founding Partner introduction or Lane C lead has been delivered to you under a fee arrangement, you must not knowingly engage the implementer for substantially the same opportunity off-platform for the sole purpose of avoiding the fee. Standard market protections apply; we will pursue recovery where breach is evident.

06Rate limits and abuse

Public API: 60 requests / minute / IP. Talent Search outreach: 50 messages / seat / day. Hire intake: 3 / email / week. Newsletter subscribe: 5 / IP / hour. Excess is throttled with HTTP 429; persistent abuse will result in suspension.

07Reporting and enforcement

Report abuse to abuse@fdeos.com. We investigate every report and reserve the right to suspend access immediately where, in our reasonable judgment, continued access poses risk to other users, to FDEOS or to third parties. Where a suspension is upheld after review, fees paid are non-refundable.

08Costs of breach

If breach causes us reasonable costs (security response, legal advice, refunds to other users), we may recover those costs from you. This does not limit any other remedies in the Terms.
